Watching...
Tape. Ethan Hawke was great in this. Robert Sean Leonard generally annoys me as much as any actor, but he was OK. He sort of looked like Jim Carrey's younger, more normal brother. This was a play brought to the screen, all set in one room, but it actually worked. The story kind of falls apart about 10 minutes before the end -- well, not so much falls apart, as begins to show the strains of keeping this thing afloat for 88 minutes. But the first hour, with Hawke slowly winding up Leonard, starts this off with such a rush that, overall, it works.
