WASHINGTON (Reuters) -- Top U.S. disaster official Michael Brown, under fire over the federal response to Hurricane Katrina, cited prior emergency-management experience in an official biography but his duties were "more like an intern," Time magazine reported....yyyyyyeahhhh...that's the problem...he lied on his resume...and...TRICKED the president into thinking he was qualified! Ergo, the president isn't responsible for actually, y'know, APPOINTING him 'n stuff. Yeah, that'll work.
As has been widely reported, Brown got the job because he was the college roommate of the former (and equally unqualified) director. His resume never entered into it.
