Watching...

The Life Aquatic With Steve Zissou. This is a good movie for people who thought that Lost In Translation would've been even better underwater. Bill Murray really has a handle on the midlife crises of the sad clown.

I guess I am supposed to like Wes Anderson, and when it comes to Rushmore, that's easy to do. But I thought The Royal Tenenbaums was all set-up, with little progression and no payoff. TLAWSZ was the same way. These casts of thousands provide a few chuckles, but by the time he's done introducing each character and cataloguing all their little quirks, I'm out of popcorn. Somebody needs to start editing this guy in the writing process. It's a bad sign when the highlight of your movie is a guy singing acoustic versions of David Bowie songs in Portuguese.
