Video Vault: The House of Love, I Don't Know Why I Love You

A classic piece of power pop, tinged with psychedelia, and a big alternative hit circa 1990. This fit in well beside the Stone Roses, and anticipated the rise of Brit Pop with Oasis and Blur a few years later.

The bridge in this song (the part that begins, "Television turns me on") is just a sublime piece of pop construction.

These guys had some other good songs, and the album this was on was pretty solid, but they never came close to this before or since.

The video, ehh, it's just product to get the song out there and on to 120 Minutes. It worked.
