Video Vault: Deee-Lite, Groove Is In The Heart
The B-52s always tried too hard to be hip to really be fun, like the kind of nasty clique who would invite you to their party just to make fun of your clothes. So when Deee-Lite came along, about ten years later, they were like a breath of fresh air, an inclusive, deee-groovy multi-cultural outfit whose clique was the world. They were going to dance, and have some fun. Everyone was invited to their party, and all the best parties in 1990 and 1991 had their debut album playing as the soundtrack. The whole thing is a joyride straight through, but this was the song that got all the airplay and was blasted out of a zillion convertibles on a zillion city streets for a solid year. It still sounds great today.

This is a pure distillate of good times.
