I have seen water-skiing squirrels as a "lighter side" segment at the end of the news hour (or half-hour), along with Whiplash the Monkey who rides a dog. Sometimes earlier in the hour, if there were nothing else for the news programmers to run except boring yadda yadda about more soldiers killed in Bush's Discretionary War.
