Thievery Corporation, Babylon Rewound and The Cosmic Game.
I like these guys a lot and have listened to them as much as anything over the last 2 years or so, but on some level I think they might be faux world music for people (like me) who thought all the fuss over David Byrne, Peter Gabriel, Sting etc. 10 or 15 years ago was ridiculous. (I can't stand the Gypsy Kings either.) So, whether for that reason or whatever, in general, I like their downtempo stuff better than their worldbeat/Putumayo-for- indie-kids stuff.
