No Hablo Espanol

When Dubya was running for president, the Bushies, courting the Hispanic vote, liked to claim he was fluent in Spanish. Now that there's this whole immigration debate and a Spanish-language version of the national anthem ... not so much:

"The president can speak Spanish but not that well," White House press secretary Scott McClellan said. "He's not that good with his Spanish."

For once, I believe them. Why should he be any better in Spanish than he is in English?
