Reading...

John Dean, again. This is getting to be a highlight every other Friday.
For some time, I have wondered how the best and brightest of the young lawyers of the Bush/Cheney Administration manage to remain untroubled by the conspicuous lawlessness inherent in the policies they embrace and promote, regarding matters such as indefinitely imprisoning enemy combatants, torture, and warrantless wiretapping - to name only the most conspicuous.
Some other favorites:

Halushki: I liked this blog so much I married its creator... wait... strike that -- reverse it. Or something.

Unclaimed Territory by (lawyer) Glenn Greenwald: the one guy staying on top of the Bush administration's law-breakin', wire-tappin', prisoner-torturin,' critic-smearin' ways. He has a new book out too.

Hullabaloo: one of the best all-around sources of info

The Rude Pundit: Proudly lowering the level of political discourse.

Pharyngula: Evolution, development, and random biological ejaculations from self-described godless liberal PZ Myers.

Ted Rall: "America's hardest-hitting editorial cartoonist."

And, because it's not all drudgery and rage, here are some good music blogs:

Silence Is A Rhythm Too

Stereogum

Moistworks

Motel de Moka

Postpunk Junk

Halushki? Is that how you found my site, by way of Anne's Almost Quintessence?
