Watching...

Shallow Grave. Wow, Danny Boyle sure has made a lot of movies involving suitcases full of money that cause friction among previously inseparable best buddies. There's Millions, and Trainspotting, and this one. I might have missed one or two others.

This was OK. It was sort of an updated Hitchcock thriller, very well made, but not a lot of fun to watch, what with all the corpses getting their hands and feet sawed off, a pair of very scary thugs torturing people in various inventive ways, and Ewan McGregor's long greasy hair. I'm sure at some level it was a fable about opportunistic Thatcherite yuppies, but then so was Trainspotting, to some degree, and more effectively.

Stop The War.
