Pennsylbama

There's no government like no government: Pennsylvania is (partially) shut down today 'cause there's no agreement between the governor and the legislature over the new budget.

(No functioning government -- hey, we're just like Iraq, except there are Pennsylvania National Guard members in Iraq.)

Anyhow:
The furloughs mean that people who want to visit state parks or the State Library will be unable to today. Getting copies of birth certificate for passports, a drivers license photo and literally dozens of other services also are out of the question.
But the casinos and liquor stores are open for business. Bring cash and tell your friends who live out-of-state!

This state is a punchline.
